Welcome to our new website!
We finally launched the new Albert@Home website based on the Drupal CMS. The migration took much longer than expected because we ran into a few new issues that escaped us during previous tests. But hey, this is our test system for Einstein@Home and it serves its purpose well ;-)
Please note that this website is not yet complete. We're still working on a list of features that are needed before we can migrate our main project. The main purpose of this release is to find the remaining bugs and gather feedback from our volunteer base as we want to make the later transition of the production system as smooth as possibe.
If you want to help us we would appreciate if you would issue bug reports using our bug tracker. We'll also keep an eye on the forums for any further questions of course.
Cheers,
Oliver

On first impressions I like
)
On first impressions I like the set up and overall functionality.
I seem to be able to find most of what was on the previous project web site, so that is a good thing.
I actually like the account pages as they are more friendly and give more imformation.
A curious thing that made me chuckle was the fact that my Team appears to have been created on the 1 January 1970, I doubt this project was so much as a dream back then eh? But no harm there.
Thanks for all the work you have put in, it looks good and well thought out. Overall I give it a thumbs up.

The links to "Your account",
)
The links to "Your account", "Your results" etc. in the BOINC manager GUI still all point to the old site.
What do I need to do to get these updated?
There are also no instrucions
)
There are also no instrucions as to how to add this project to BOINC - these used to be on the main page.
Hi Gordon,Gordon Lack

Hi Gordon,
There is a big blue button on the homepage (if you're not signed in) reading "Join now". That button takes you to this page which contains that info.

Oliver

You don't need to do anything. We need to update those. Thanks for the report!

Thanks Conan! We always love to hear positive feedback as well :-) We know we're not yet ready for a full release on einstein but this release on albert will get us there!

This issue just got fixed. The update should reach your client/manager after the next scheduler contact (or hit the "Update" button) followed by a restart of the BOINC manager.
Best,
Oliver

I can confirm that it works and I only issued a manual update to the project, did not have to restart Boinc manager for it to work.
the (very nice :) ) link to
)
the (very nice :) ) link to server status at the bottom leads to the (old) server status page and the links there (still) link to the old site. Which duely states that it is obsolete and links back, but still :)
edit: the account/preferences/computing page gives a couple of errors (ok, warnings) - something about tags:
warning: DOMDocument::loadXML(): Opening and ending tag mismatch: venue line 91 and global_preferences in Entity, line: 117 in /raida/BOINC/drupal/drupal-boinc/drupal/sites/default/boinc/modules/boincwork/includes/boincwork.helpers.inc on line 1018.
and a few more related.
and I don't see a link to my posting history on my 'dashboard'? will that be implemented? There is a 'posts contributed' if I look at other user's pages but not on my own dashboard.
Queen of Aliasses, wielder of the SETI rolling pin, Mistress of the red shoes, Guardian of the orange tree, Slayer of very small dragons.
Yes, we'll remove that
)
Yes, we'll remove that (global) "obsolete" message header from the server status page in due time as we'll stick with that page for the time being.
Best,
Oliver
The list of other BOINC
)
The list of other BOINC projects you are in on the Accounts/Dashboard page under the Projects section are no longer actual HTML links to those other projects.
That's right, and we should
)
That's right, and we should add that indeed. However, it's not going to be straight-forward since, starting with Einstein@Home, there is no canonical way anymore to cross-reference user profiles. Maybe we should link to a user's profile on an independet stats site...? I added a ticket for further discussion: DBOINCP-163
