We found a problem in S6BucketLVE validation. Until this has been tracked down and fixed (or worked around) the validator is disabled.

Thanks for reporting this, it was actually your message here about validation problems that made us look deeper into the validation results!

Perhaps the Validator is

Perhaps the Validator is disabled at Eistein@Home but it is still running at Albert@Home, so we still get the same issues and for me wasted results.

All the failed work units (I have 6 now on Windows and Linux) have involved another computer running Win7 64 bit either matched with another Win 7 64 bit or with Darwin 10.4.0.

Plus most also have a Xeon CPU as well.

So if this is the issue it would help if the work units were fixed here at the test project as well as at the main project.

One of my tasks has been

One of my tasks has been declared invalid. OK, I know this is a test project. Now I have received another one with a 4 days deadline, so it is running in high priority mode. A SETI Astropulse task is running alongside it, but a Test4Theory@home won't start because it needs 2 cores (I have only 2 on my Opteron 1210).

The validator was turned off and a bug was fixed so it was turned back on again.
However it did not fix the validation problems we are reporting as it was some other bug.

The Einstein team is still looking for the problem, I left a note over there as well.

At last count I was up to 7 invalid results now.

Yes, all other units both in

Yes, all other units both in Einstein and Albert are validated, so it is not a fault of my two systems.

The fix for the S6BucketLVE

The fix for the S6BucketLVE validator from Einstein was applied here, too. WU validation should be back to normal from now on (i.e. << 1% invalid tasks).

BM

Edit: When I'm busy on Einstein I usually don't pay much attention to the Forums on Albert. It's certainly a good idea to drop me a PM if something urgent comes up here, or ask over at Einstein if it might be related.
