Forum cleanup

I intend to clean up the forums a bit from the stuff unintentionally carried over from Einstein@home. Don't be worried when your posts / threads seem to randomly (dis)appear in the next few hours.

Forum cleanup

Basically done. Posting should be possible anytime in the "Help Desk" forums for reporting problems and making suggestions. I'm thinking of eliminating "Cruncher's corner" here, too, I don't think it has much business specific to Albert@home. As for "Cafe Einstein" and "Science", please refer to the main Einstein@home project to discuss such topics.

How about helping those of use without any RAC, when we try to report spammers or answer someone in one of the 'top forums'? Is the RAC > 1 requirement really needed here?

The only (remaining) forum that is still restricted that way is "Cruncher's corner", which I intend to get rid of anyway.

We also ask that you keep all discussion on the message boards related to Einstein@Home or BOINC with the small exception of the Science message board where you are free to discuss anything about physics or astronomy. Participants interested in broader discussions should post to unofficial E@H forums. ....

Uhm... Albert you mean. ;-)

You know, we're also testing web pages for E@H over here. No need to diverge from Einstein@Home here.

Message 78590 in response to message 78589

Is that why when I go click "My account" when I selected Albert@Home in BOINC Manager, that I end up in my account at E@H? ;-)

I know you're testing for E@H, but that doesn't mean that the test project needs to keep all the text, links and advice from the main project. In that case you could just as well have enabled the beta applications on the main project and tested from there. No need for the whole test-environment here.

OK, thanks for the note.

The URLs should point to Albert now, and be updated on the clients with next scheduler contact.
