Looks like a new app is out. http://albert.phys.uwm.edu/apps.php says it's from 02. of August. Looks fine so far (http://albert.phys.uwm.edu/results.php?userid=147518) but the estimated runtime seems to be a bit wrong. Are there any news that I missed? A quick search for "0.28" in the forum finds nothing app related.

what the hell ... :) (app: testing... v0.28)
)
Hi!
These are experimental builds for the Fermi Gamma Ray Pulsar (FGRP) search which is currently almost finished on Einstein@Home. We are now preparing the app for the next run.
One more note: we are now further automating our build and test environment so that we will push test builds of apps on Albert much more frequently in the future. This means we will no longer put out news items for every single (minor) version updates of apps. But we will continue to inform everyone here when there are major updates, e.g. versions for new platforms or versions that have a different performance characteristic.

You might want to change the name back from 'testing...' to something containing FGRP, though.
An app identifying itself as 'testing..' v0.29 is funny to look at, but I prefer to know what it is, that is being tested (e.g. 'FGRP testing...').

The name "testing..." is a remnant from the time when we were silently developing and testing the FGRP app before we even had a name for it, long before we officially launched it on Einstein.
I changed the "user friendly name" to "Gamma-ray pulsar search #1", which is consistent with the naming on Einstein.

Speaking of silent features: Clients attached to Albert should automatically download a file EatH_mastercat.txt . This is a list of the (radio) pulsar discoveries made by Einstein@Home. Eventually this file will be used to highlight these in the screensaver graphics.
