RE: Same validate errors

Message 79619 in response to message 79617

Same validate errors with the v1.06 (NEON) app on Boinc 7.1.11:

All tasks for computer 7663

Hopefully i'll get a v1.06 (VFP) Wu soon.

Another way to note, all those validate errors didn't drive my Max tasks per day down, should it?

Since no-one has reported what made my HTC One S Neon results produce validate errors on Neon tasks I resorted to aborting all Neon tasks,
this has driven my Neon Max Tasks down low enough to get VFP tasks, these while slower, they at least validate.

I've gone and got myself a Raspberry Pi, and rather than get the old Boinc 7.0.27 from the repository i've gone and compiled it myself,
But Einstein and Albert won't send work out, can you allow work to be sent to the armv6l-unknown-linux-gnueabihf platform please, or at least someone tell me what platform the repository Boinc is using:

Message 79622 in response to message 79621

Heinz-Bernd ('Bikeman') runs Pi on the main project. His server log

http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/host_sched_logs/6033/6033142

contains a reference to "arm-unknown-linux-gnueabihf" - not armv6l

I didn't want to spam the boards with my stats - just milestone theads - but apparently signatures are no longer optional. Follow the link if you're interested.

Message 79624 in response to message 79622

That got me a task, But it also confirmed a problem with my installation, While my Boinc 7.2.41 compilation on Ubuntu works O.K (running from Home/BOINC),
the compilation on the Pi Raspbian Debian wheezy port doesn't manage to start any Wu's (Running from home/pi/BOINC),
any Wu's show up as suspended - starting up, Boinc never makes a slot directory, and never makes any actual slots,

I've managed to run Daniel Carrion's Seti app offline in the pi directory, but can't get it to run in any sub directories, sounds like a permissions problem for Boinc and the app.

Please let me jump in. Did you do a:
ldd
You should get a list of libraries needed by your boinc. If there is any line with a "missing" you do not have all the libs to run boinc. My guess is that your libc6 is a bit too old to run 7.2.41. May be you can find a newer lib in the testing repository of Debian.
May be boinc itself is fine with your libs ... may be the application to crunch the work unit needs more or other or newer libs. You can also try:
ldd
to find out what libs are needed.

The latest 1.44 (NEON)

The latest 1.44 (NEON) Android BRP app is now producing valid work on my HTC One S rather than the validate errors it produced on the old NEON app:

Message 79627 in response to message 79622

Worked out the problem with my Boinc 7.2.41, seems the Boinc 7.2.41 threw some very large numbers into the cc_config.xml and
Have reset those to Zero, did a read config file, now app is progressing.
