And also have the forum link at the bottom of the thread. We still have to constantly scroll back to the top of the page.
The breadcrumb links aren't there when you're in an answer window, by the way. So then you still have to use the 'around-way' when you want to check something (in another thread/forum) in a new tab.
Personally I'd just hit "back" in the first case you describe but I reopened DBOINCP-7 to get the breadcrumbs added to the comment page footer and maybe also to the reply page.
Click on the "report" button at the bottom of the post to call it to the attention of the moderators. -> the button is at the top. These message boards now support BBCode tags only. -> you also support WYSIWYG and according to the Filtered HTML blurb, HTML codes.
The paste option only becomes available when text is already in the window. See this image for what a right-click does on an empty window.
FYI, that photobucket site just displays a grey area where the image should be, regardless of the browser I use (but the ads all work fine).
Works fine here. In both Pale Moon and Internet Explorer. Make sure you don't (script-)block Photobucket. (I have lots of its scripts not allowed, but see the picture without trouble)
Something I noticed just now.. I didn't have to acknowledge any cookie storing. Even deleted the cookie for this site, restarted the browser, went here, no warning. Which can be a problem, due to legislation we have in Europe and in The Netherlands about unsollicited storing of cookies on people's computers.
"Under Dutch cookie law, website operators need to consider the application of article 11.7a Telecommunications Act (Telecommunicatiewet) for the use of cookies, except for those which are “strictly necessary for the provision of an information society service requested by the subscriber or user”. This means that all cookies that are not strictly necessary for the essential operation of the website require prior informed (opt-in) consent. Tracking cookies do not fall under this “strictly necessary” exemption. On the contrary: tracking cookies or similar data files placed or accessed, are considered to be personal data, unless the party placing such cookies or information can prove otherwise." (Source)
Also
"On 5 June 2012, the new Dutch cookie law incorporated in article 11.7a of the Telecommmunication Act (TA) came into force. This article 11.7a of the TA transposes article 5.3 of the European ePrivacy Directive. Nowadays ‘anyone (e.g. both Dutch and foreign website owners) placing information or accessing information already stored on the terminal equipment of a user (e.g. storing or accessing cookies), is required to (a) obtain prior consent from the users and (b) provide the users with clear and complete information in accordance with the Dutch Data Protection Act, and in any event about the purposes for which the information is stored and access is gained." Hm, right. Thanks for the heads-up. I know there have been policy changes recently and we should look into this. Strictly speaking this website is hosted in the USA and should thus not fall under european/dutch jurisdiction but we should keep this in mind and find out the details. FYI, the stock BOINC website doesn't do this either (no excuse of course)...
It ain't HTML either what's needed here, so what is? Oh, WYSIWYG? So everyone, go change your profile, as codes no longer work.
FYI, DBOINCP-10 is already covering that. For the time being I suggest to keep the BBCode tags in there, despite the ugly look here on albert, so you don't have to update it twice.
- Ah, the auto-empty line-whitespace when doing a single carriage return (Enter) is still here. Why? Why can't I just put an Enter down to start on a new line, why does it need a white space between my last line and the next new one? Can't even do a backspace as that eats the white line and then we're just at the end of the last sentence again.
This is because [ENTER] starts a new paragraph which has a bigger line spacing than a simple line break. There's no extra whitespace or line, so there is nothing to "eat". If you want a simple line break just hit [SHIFT] + [ENTER]. That's how many word processors work by the way.
You should be able to get around this as soon as the WYSIWYG -> plain text option is activated (see my previous comments on that).

As you know the site isn't yet complete, but thanks for the heads-up. I added those to the list of yet to be migrated content: DBOINCP-154.

Sorry, but I can't reproduce that. Could this be some auto-fill feature of your browser?
